ALTON
TOWERS is 25 minutes drive away, while ASHBOURNE
in the Heart of the Peak District is 10 minutes
further on. With it’s lovely old market and
antique shops it is the gateway to the beautiful
walks around Dovedale, Ilam and Tissington. Also
the historic houses of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall,
Kedleston Hall and Sudbury Hall are also in this
area.
IRONBRIDGE the birthplace of the
Industrial Revolution is only an hour away. It is
now a World Heritage Site and needs a full day to
enjoy just a few of its 10 Museums as well as the
beautiful countryside around the River Severn. LICHFIELD
with its Cathedral, BURTON upon TRENT with its History
of Beer Brewing and the Famous Bass Museum, STOKE
on TRENT (The Potteries) with numerous factory shops
and the County Town of STAFFORD full of historic
buildings including the Castle and the High House.

Cannock Chase is about 4 mile away,
this is a forest area of 26sq. miles which is designated
as an Area of Outstanding Beauty and was once a
Royal Hunting Ground. Woodland Walks, Cycle Tracks,
Picnic Areas, Deer Spotting Trails and Bird Watching
are among the mainy things to do here along with
a horse trekking centre. SHUGBOROUGH HALL with its
Histroic Working Estate complete with farm and it's
many events throughout the year is only 5 miles
away on the edge of the CHASE.
We are in the area of the lovely National Forest and we are only 5 miles from Uttoxeter race course. We are able to supply tickets for all areas of the race course.
