"On Saturday I married the man of my dreams in the venue of my dreams! If we could give this venue 100 stars it would still not be enough! Blithfield is unique in so many ways. First of all, you don't just get a wedding day; you get a wedding weekend! 30 of our family and friends arrived on the Friday which gave us an entire day to prepare the barn for our wedding day (and a pre wedding party in the evening)! They (and us) were accommodated in beautiful, spacious and fully equipped cottages, arranged around a courtyard, all with the most stunning views of the lake and wildlife. Check out isn't until the Monday giving us a whole day to relax and all of this is included in the wedding package! Then there's the wedding barn itself. Just wow! It's simply stunning. We had 100 guests but they can hold much larger receptions, there was loads of room! It didn't feel empty either though. We got married at 5.30pm to a backdrop that was quite simply out of this world! The huge glass windows ensured that we said our I dos to an uninterrupted view of the stunning lake (we even got a beautiful sunset!) It was just breath taking! Our guests commented that it was the best wedding venue they'd ever been to and I agree! The well stocked bar (with yummy cocktails!) was managed perfectly with no long waits for drinks and we partied into the early hours. For us though, the thing that stood out the most and puts this venue head and shoulders above anywhere else are the owners and their staff. From the time of booking to the goodbyes, Alex and Lydia gave us and our guests exceptional and personal service. They genuinely care and will do everything they can to give you exactly what you want. They were there all day on the Friday helping us to set up and nothing was too much trouble. Professional but not stuffy and corporate (exactly what we wanted). Alex is incredible and pulled out all of the stops for us. He's so patient and we never felt rushed (even after having to watch us rehearse the aisle walk about 50 times) and gave us loads of ideas and guidance on things we hadn't even thought about. If you are planning on getting married and want stunning scenery for your ceremony, attentive and relaxed service and gorgeous accommodation FOR THE ENTIRE weekend then you need to check out Blithfield Lakeside Barns.
